下面就說明一下活性炭各個數值對活性炭吸附力的作用指標：
4.水分
水分是測量碳所含水的多少，即活性炭中被吸附的水的重量的百分比。
5.硬度
硬度值是指顆粒活性炭在RO-TAP儀器中對鋼球衰變運動的阻力。硬度是測量活性炭機械強度的指標。
6.四氯化碳
四氯化碳值是總孔容的指示器，是用飽和的零攝氏度的CCI4氣流通過25度的炭床來測量的。
7.糖蜜值
糖蜜值是測量活性炭在沸騰糖蜜溶液的相對脫色能力的方法。糖蜜值被解讀為孔直徑大于28A的表面積。因為糖蜜是多組分的混合物，必須嚴格按照說明測試本參數。糖蜜值是用活性炭標樣和要測試的活性炭的樣品處理糖蜜液，通過計算過濾物的光學密度的比率而得。
